We do not expect anyone shouted “April Fool” when Phillip Schofield was born on the 1st April 1962. May be because he was such a lovely little babe, the kind you would have wanted to tickle under the chin. He brought a sense of warmth to the heart even then, and it was clear he was nobody’s fool, even when he was screaming for his night feed!  He is a positive Aries for a start, and when Aries is positive you can be sure most people around them will have fun. He is not prone to the usual egoism, the more negative style of that sun sign. The only slightly challenging factor is that he could be a bit stubborn, and stick his heels in. But the enthusiastic side will always win out, and find ways to de-stress rather than stress. In other words the TV presenter we all know and love is more than a good looking act, he is actually a sincerely nice guy.

Forgive us for saying that Aries Sun Sign Sarah Jessica Parker is a bit of an enigma, a bit of a perfectionist and soft spoken rebel, the kind of girl with her finger in every pie, yet with a tendency to criticise herself and others notwithstanding her talent, and good heart. She is indeed a stickler, an extremely ambitious member of the Aries fraternity, her hard headedness borderline obsessive, her need to reach the top of her profession compulsive. In fact her friends and family are not in the last surprised she managed to strut her stuff to perfection in Sex and City and win four Golden Globe, two Emmys and more, for her performance as Carrie Bradshaw. She had worked hard from when she was a kid; her dedication to show biz was uncompromising. Sarah initiated her existence on planet earth as the beloved daughter of a nursery school teacher and a journalist, her parents divorced when Sarah Jessica was a kiddo, and she grew up in a very extended family; i.e. a brood of brothers and sisters some inherited from her stepfather, and some from her mum’s new marriage.

 

We envision little Jessica fighting for attention amidst the fray. We see her dressing up in her mum’s high heeled shoes, or pirouetting around the sitting room in her ballerina dress, the perfect fairy princess. It would have been logical for her to attend the School for Creative and Performing Arts, and follow up with a stint at the School of American Ballet. Most women on planet earth identified with the four desperate New Yorkers seeking true love and yes, eventually finding it. In fact, Sarah Jessica’s depiction of Carrie bore some resemblance to her own sensitivity, insight, inner loneliness and distinct fashion flair. A rather cheeky Mercury in Pisces gifted Jessica with her heroine’s droll perception of life, so crucial to the character of Carrie Bradshaw. By the way, even Sarah can talk philosophy at the cheese counter, slurp over cups of coffee in paroxysms of giggles, or just get excessively inspired by a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. Okay, let’s play a celebrity game! Who said, one “If you haven’t got it fake it……!”  two “I want a big house, with a moat and dragons, and a fort to keep people out?” and three “I dress sexily but not in an obvious way, in a virginal way!” Yes, congratulations, ten out of ten, our celebrity is that great Dame of British Show biz, Victoria Beckham. Whether you like her fashion style is not the point. When we look at this lady’s astro heavens, she is one fully rounded, fascinating chick. In fact strangely, her looks deviate from her inner strength and originality. Why do we say this? Mainly because her Aries sun sign liaises with the soft light of a beneficial moon. In fact, that moon has slowly morphed Victoria into a wise humanitarian with a closet mystical bent, always ready to listen to new philosophies and perceptions. This is why she is so prone to experiment with avant garde fashion!  She is by no means a voguish airhead; she is a down to earth, astute being, with an extreme sense of humor, and a capacity to dismiss life’s challenges with a mere wave of a graceful hand. She also has Mr. Mars in heady Gemini, so she is fully capable of holding her own with her agent, her fan club, her enemies and her business associates.   

 

Some people have wondered about her nickname “Posh” since as far as we know she has no relationship to the Queen. They realised she was another “pasta”, and soon she would realise it herself. Since she left the Spice Girls, she has sometimes hit the big time with her songstress talents,  her single “Out of Your Mind” was number two in the top ten, but nowadays she has become more of a “modish mystic”, her unique fashion nose helping her design a line of jeans, sunglasses and perfumes. In fact she is obsessed with sunglasses, and has her own vintage collection. We are not surprised; hiding behind them when faced with over-excited fans, journalists and photographers, etc. is her way of distancing herself.

 

Of course she is more than grateful for her popularity; in fact she has now cultivated a grounded method of dealing with the excesses of celebrity-hood. Mercury in Aries makes her nobody’s fool; do not try to pull a fast one on Victoria! She wants you to be straight, on edge when it comes to business, intense and inspiring as a friend. Okay folks; fasten your seat belts because this astro profile will be all about that dude Independent on Sunday voted the 41^st most influential gay in the United Kingdom. Why? Because he is so darned hilarious, and yes, because he is an Aries. The debonair DJ, Radio Presenter Scott Mill’s main aim it to entertain his audience, even to the extent of receiving electric shocks during a daft yes/no question and answer spiel on his show. Why? Well he cares about his public, he wants them roaring with laughter. A dynamic Mars will make him your social butterfly, flying from flower to proverbial flower, in his element when surrounded by an original team of people. He probably wanted to be famous from an early age. He has always been dynamic, his energy of “human dynamo” status. He is a ball of pure chutzpah, of creative and dedicated talent.  His daily shenanigans on the Scott Mills Show have us mesmerized. He began “walking his talk” early, at the age of 16 on a local Hampshire radio station. Back in those Hampshire days he was offered a late night slot, and became so popular he quickly moved on to main stream entertainment. 

 

Currently, he struts his stuff with great aplomb, and we continue to fall about laughing. Many of us followed his rise to fame, and were delighted when he joined the BBC Radio 1 team to present The Early Breakfast Show. He continued to move up, covering Sara Cox’s slot when she was on maternity leave, and basically he has never looked back. His Mars in imaginative Pisces will make sure those original pranks, and strange, almost out of body perceptions on life are original. Another of his successful personas is that of the actor, he was caught playing a reporter on Casualty and a politician in Hollyoaks! But again with that Mars in cheeky Gemini, he will be more prone to being a prankster, attempting to kiss wild animals or calling computer help lines with absurd takes on Information Technology. His very own Scott Mills Show opens up “alla Monty Python” with that momentous catch phrase “It’s only bley Friday”, screamed at high voltage, classical music playing in the background. 

 

We cannot fail to want him around as we gulp down our coffee, and stagger out the door, to face yet another day of credit crunches; he cheers us up. As we said, he is an Aries and that fiery sign can have a rather idiotic view of reality, in fact without idiocy our friend would simply collapse into a heap. But surprise, surprise his realistic Moon in Taurus will ensure this chap is down to earth; on a personal level you might discover he is one of the most grounded guys you could ever hope to meet. “I have always wanted to know what’s going on under the surface” Marcia Cross once said. Such a phrase is not unusual for an Aries, a Golden Globe winner, a curious person and a magnificent woman. She has also had minor parts on Ally McBeal, Spin City , heavier roles have been in CSI, Profiler, and Touched by an Angel.  Strong, independent, winning and gifted, she is willing to give her all to life. Her charisma is awesome; her smile seductive, her red headed looks mesmerising.

She is now a spokesperson for gay rights, after having been earmarked as a lesbian by the tabloids; she retorted she is very supportive of the gay community. In 2005 she married Tom Mahoney, a stoke broker, and is in “heaven right now” as the mother of gorgeous twins. But she suffered when her previous partner Richard Gordon died in 1993 and was not seen to date anyone until she surprised us all suddenly “tying the knot” in 2005. Her moon in Scorpio would make her passionate, extreme, with a forceful personality, she is basically a “live life to the hilt” type of girl. Death would not scare her, but a useless lifestyle would. She is so respectful of people, she talks to them with consideration, listens to them intently, understands their quirks, and forgives them their faults.  There is a sort of “angelic” quality to her persona, she just extends out her silver antenna, picks up someone’s hurt, and holds them safe.  Sometimes her extreme sensitivity will make her want to keep a low profile though, and at those times she will not be emotionally available. Paul Daniels

“You’ll like this, not a lot, but you will like it!” Mr. Daniel’s catchphrase could be symbolic of his attitude to life, rather skeptical, sometimes controversial, definitely inspiring and without a doubt magical! Paul Daniels could be described as a stubborn Aries, a mix match of contradictions, and one of the most gifted entertainers of our times. Nowadays he might not breathe, eat and sleep magic like he did when he was a young magician touring the circuits, but he is certainly a “Mago” par excellence. Magic is the very core of him, part and parcel of his DNA.He was not born with that proverbial “silver spoon in his mouth”, his beginning was modest, yet his existence literally overflows with life transforming events, perhaps because a friendly destiny guides him to the big time over and over again! In fact, he was awarded Magician of the Year by the Hollywood Academy of Magical Arts in 1983 and the prestigious Golden Rose of Montreaux in 1985. Clearly working his way up from those humble origins has made him an archetypical success story! 

These days he has also become a controversial figure that some either love or hate, he speaks his mind until we cringe in our seats. With that cheeky moon in Gemini he likes to tease, yet he makes friends easily, friends with whom he bounces off inspiring plans and visions. His tendency to put his proverbial foot in it though, does not endear him to everyone, especially Cilla Black and Anne Robinson, whom he is said to loathe. But once his mind is made up, that is it!  A “thinker” those thoughts whirl around his head like buzzing bees, prone to worry he is still so warmhearted and charismatic his fans will continue to adore him for years to come. His Paul Daniels show ran from 1979 to 1994 and in that time he became a household name. Yet he was first inspired by magic as a kid, when he read a book called “How to Entertain at Parties,” and every cell in his body buzzed at the prospect of pulling rabbits out of hats. “From that moment,” he stated “I can safely say that all I ever wanted to do in life was become a professional magician.”  So that fun hobby ended up as his raison d’être in fact, during his national service he practiced his tricks on the other lads.

He finally turned a “professional corner” during a summer season at Newquay; from then on, he never looked back. His Mars in Taurus would make him the tortoise that gets to the proverbial winning post, even if it does mean plod, plod, and plod. He is always Mr. Realist, ready to face the tests of life, seeing through the sham and make believe.  Perhaps that is why he nurtures a healthy skepticism, which urged him to test out the paranormal under laboratory conditions! His rather eccentric persona has also become an object of fun on such satirical comedy shows as Chris Morris and Brass Eye. Spitting Image portrayed him as an out of sync idiot with a talking toupee, more recently he was on the X Factor, appeared in Wife Swap, Let me Entertain you, and to add to his achievements, he owns a fancy dress shop in Wigan; not someone who “rests on his laurels” for sure.

His Gemini moon will make it difficult for him to relax, easy for him to be a superb trickster on stage, gifting him with dexterity and slight of hand. Please do not ask him to sit still, as we said he thinks alot but on his feet, always throwing himself into a vibrant world full on; like Mr. Mercury himself he moves fast, only able to relax with genuine folks down the pub. His Gemini moon will help him channel original ideas such as a rabbit called Woolly who lived in Puzzleopolis on a popular kids’ show Wizbit. His Mercury in Taurus will gift him with the stamina necessary to continually build on hard won success. Piers Morgan

Okay folks button down the hatches, reassess your lifestyle, make sure you have no skeletons in your cupboard because guess who is coming into town? The scintillating Aries Piers Morgan. Former editor of News of the World, and the Daily Mirror, he is not one to pay lip service to anyone. He blasts his truth to the world at high volume acquiring fame and fortune in the process. A hit on talent shows such as America’s Got Talent, and winner of Celebrity Apprentice, he forges ahead unperturbed, a rather ordinary fellow with a rather extraordinary personality, blame it on his sun sign Aries, especially that Mercury configuration. It makes his wit garbed, his take on life cynical, and his love of controversy addictive. Being sued on all fronts and from all directions just piles more cream on his cake. His education was middle class mainstream. He was probably a practical little kid, his Jupiter in Taurus encouraging him to keep a well-stocked piggy bank; he wanted to be very, very rich from an early age. He knew he would be, of course! 

His first opportunity to realise he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth was when he became editor of the Sun’s Showbiz column he made his mark. He moved on and up, his Venus in Aries making him so enthusiastic about his mission, even Speedy Gonzalez could not have kept up with his rise to the top of the pile. In the process he caught Rupert Murdoch’s discerning eye and became Editor of News of the World at only 28 years old. His take on celebrity-dom is well known, he believes they are on this earth to entertain the general public, therefore he does not think twice about pushing a magnifying lens deep into their private lives; obviously a series of irate libel cases is the result. A photo of the gorgeous Catherine Victoria Lockwood, then wife of Charles Earl Spencer, leaving a detox clinic set the trend. As he let more and more Celeb skeletons out of their cupboards, he was getting into a whole lot of trouble. Few will remember the Jeremy Clarkson feud, when Clarkson punched Piers three times for excessive coverage of his personal life, mainly because these events leave our Piers virtually indifferent.

His famous quote “this is a good day for lying, drug abusing prima donnas….” was said as a result of Ms. Campbell suing his newspaper for guess what? Prying into her personal life. After being sacked from the Mirror, due to some convoluted photographic scam regarding Iraqi prisoners of war, Piers decided to branch out into another form of media – television – and to be frank he has not looked back since. It has to be said his tendency to rub others up the wrong way is only slightly muted these days.  Saturn in Pisces will want to teach him that he still needs to protect his private life, and realise it is a precious gift. His karmic lesson is emotional forbearance and caring for his own flesh and blood. He knows he needs to feel more comfortable with intimacy, and we sense that this will be his prerogative in the latter part of his life, from around fifty years onwards. 

Mars in Virgo will make sure he needs a long time to establish emotional trust. Anyway, we are more interested in his exuberant personality than his personal life. We want to scream with laughter at his fun comments on talent shows. We adore the fact he is so unafraid of making an outlandish comment, dropping a clanger here and there. And we wait for his “take” with baited breath. But be warned, he is not always Mr. Jovial, Mars in Virgo will transform him into an archetypal Alpha Male at the drop of a hat, a high achieving “doer” organizing his desk, and making sure all the Top Secret material is at the back of his filing cabinet. He wants his pen, his blotting paper and his phone lined up, and wow betide a secretary who does not leave a message, he will nag, nag, nag her, and if she still insists on forgetting important show biz facts, she will be out the door faster than anyone could say “Where the … did you put my parking ticket?!!!???” He expects a lot of those around him, he drives them almost as hard as he drives himself, the words efficiency, organisation, individualism are what you would need to write on the top of your CV application if you want a job working for Piers. He likes to surround himself with a bright, witty team of youngsters who can keep up with his barbed repartee and fast pace. With that North node in Gemini our Piers will want to make things happen “before now” over the next year or so. He has a deep-seated aversion to procrastinators, and will tell them in no uncertain terms. It is rush, rush, rush for goodness sakes.  

He also finds most social mores an absolute waste of time, he wants to tell it “how it is” even if “how it is” is turning a particularly genteel member of the “chattering classes” to stone – never mind their shocked expression, either people “get it” or they don’t! Contracts, financial arrangements and new show biz deals are on the top of Piers’ list in 2009.  He will be as busy as your proverbial bee, maintaining his status quo.
