Our Gwynnie, a little princess with a lisp could have been one of her toddler interpretations, a cute little sweetie playing shy angel in the Junior Christmas play and then all of a sudden “the transformation” into a chatty adolescent, the kind of damsel who won the heart of the handsomest jock on the block. Gwyneth Paltrow was and is indeed a sheer communicator, airy, on the edge of windy, with sun in Libra and moon in Gemini. One could mistake her for a chatter box,  she was a curious teen in any event, especially about girl friends’ love interests and some might have thought she bore a resemblance to a multi coloured butterfly flitting around the campus. Now she lands on the red carpet like a super jet, dazzling in her designer frocks and radiant smile, not a hair out of place, emanating the aura of a brilliant young actress and one of the best performers of our generation. Let us not forget the English “thingie” and how she does that accent -  one could say she performs with idealistic perfection; an “out of this world” quality i.e. “Shakespeare in Love” or poles opposite the horror film “Seven” where she played the love interest of her once adored Brad Pitt. She was the sweet, innocent girlfriend in that “screamer” of a movie. Her pale blonde hair, her frank blue eyes, her gentle voice encouraging a particular co star to fall in love with her. But Mercury in Libra makes Ms Paltrow yearn for security away from the Hollywood set these days, the lull of a warm home life, the one she had when she was a little girl when she was doted on by her family and her every move was idolised. She still possesses that Libran need for beauty and harmony, so she continues her quest for consolation, perhaps to process the death of her beloved father. Yet, in her nest egg, away from the stress of keeping up a gorgeous appearance she is in her element in a track suit, perhaps down in her gym working out, yet tuned into her young family’s needs, they are her strength, her true inspiration. Neptune in Sagittarius pushes her forwards on a mission nonetheless, a mission of communication not only through stunning film performances, but art, fashion and music. Her marriage to Chris Martin has given her a vibrant structure to move around in. With him, she lives in a hub of activities, world music, philosophic musings, a buzz of friends and creatives coming and going. He is her soul mate of course. He symbolises her Uranus in Libra, which could make her confused about what she wants from that relationship at times. They both seek innovation, to understand the dynamics of emotions, to analyse them, to exchange new ideas, to bring conflictual issues to another level. She is interested in all types of alternative communications, non verbal, fashion, music, spiritual, not only her art. Jupiter in Capricorn makes Gwyneth stand out on the show biz scene. She combines an ethereal look, with pluck and thespian know how and she is an inspirational presence at any event. Her beauty grounds her, her gifts define her, she stands alone on the red carpet, emanating light, her Venus in Leo giving her that regal bearing, that queenly stance. She becomes exciting, stimulating, a true blue actress in our “grey” moments, when her full presence, her moving performance are so important to us. To her, she is still that Californian girl, a simple soul with a complex gift, to us that gift she has is the enchantment of an unforgettable performance. Even when she won the Oscar, so young, so emotionally, we cheered her on, we forgave her excessive tears, because no matter her contradictons, or inner turmoil, she is afterall, one of the girls! This year could be challenging for her, there could be some sort of project regarding a movie that tests her metal. She might feel let down by people she trusted but there is a sense that whatever happens she will manage to come through it stronger than ever, more mature in her lifes perspective and determined to find the right vehicle for her gifts. A new phase awaits her performances and it will be a deeper, profound phase. One that she is less commtted to in a way, but one in which she can expand her art. Good luck Gwyneth!
