Kim Cattrall

Samantha Jones, whose hilarious sexual high jinks, stylish dress sense, and “blue” comments had us screeching with laughter in Sex and the City, would not be the kind of dame one would meet down the fish and chip shop. Like Samantha, our lovely Leo lady, Kim Cattrall, is a woman of class, who would prefer to lunch at Claridges. Like Samantha, Kim dresses with panache. Like Samantha Kim is rather larger than life, and when one walks into a room with her, it is inclined to buzz. Unlike Samantha however, Kim’s Aquarian Moon perceptions have a tendency to throw down a gauntlet, yet she could shock even herself when she picks it up. There would be some conflict within this damsel, a need for integration as a star and international beauty, alla Leo, clashes with a convoluted sensitivity that the Winged Messenger bestows on his chosen few. But when Mr Mercury also visits her Virgo expect Kim to analyse a role to dust, scrutinise the small print, and express profound insights. Remember she was involved with Bernard-Henri Lévy a charismatic, French intellectual famed for his contentious views on politics. He would have “got it” that Kim would be able to hack a “revolutionary” take on life, even if she didn’t!
In fact when she was married to Mark Levinson, the two of them wrote the 2002 book: Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm, Kim obviously wanting to express keen observations on female sexuality. No doubt she was seriously involved in her role as vampish Samantha in Sex and the City at the time; being a clingy fire sign she will tend to merge into her characterisations. So she would have yearned to understand the “nympho, vampish” elements of her own personality on that show. In fact, her Mrs. Moon in Aquarius just has to express the complexity of a human being in an up front, raw way. This attitude has spurred on her brilliant technique, helping her morph into such a popular performer. She started her existence on planet earth in the green and gentle county of Wiltshire but her family emigrated to Canada. She would later return to the UK when granny took sick.
Once in London, she studied at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. But it was only after she had trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York that Otto Preminger and Universal Studios signed her name on a dotted line that would lead to worldwide success. Her exacting dramatic training has made her a superb stage actress she has starred in high brow productions such as Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge, and Chekhov’s Three Sisters. Her consistent capacity to delve deep into a role will always galvanise an audience. But when it comes to love, well Kim is a sweetly sensitive woman. Venus in Cancer will require a strong man besides her, someone who can match her success and intelligence, who can appreciate her beauty and savoir faire, someone who is not afraid of fame, and can sustain her during inner crises and emotional stress. Her only problem is that super sensitivity makes it hard for her not to merge into her loved ones, and she can come a cropper because of her psychic take of what is going on in someone’s head.
This can lead to misunderstandings as often her interpretations of another are conditioned by her own emotional experience. Kim has been married three times, and has been involved with such heavy weights as Pierre Trudeau, and Daniel Benzali. But we will let you into a secret; Kim’s Mars in Pisces would make her totally unlike Samantha Jones. In fact so far removed, Samantha could be living on the planet Zog. You see Mars in Pisces would make this gorgeous woman highly sensitive, the mere sound of a fork scratching across a plate having her reach for the mineral water. She “feels” her way around life, and this tendency will help her in her craft, but be somewhat a hindrance to her intimate life, revoking memories of childhood insecurities, and teenage angst. This placement will also push her into the recesses of human consciousness, where she can pull down from the ethers her characterisations, and understand every facet of a personality through her craft.
She is a born actress, beautiful, exacting, visionary, complex, and capable of profound insights and moments of introspection. Her attentive observances of humanity makes her inner landscape panoramic and rich with experience, yet her persona is on edge, her tendency to want to change her way of being, consistent. She could have a gypsy gene in her blood, because even if she is not moving across the earth plain materially she will want to move mentally, seeing answers to life’s problems by traveling through them, probably enjoying spiritual perceptions that calm her down, and sustain her cere. For the next couple of years Kim’s sun will be lighting up her inner world, she will be dealing with a total revamp, detox, and life evaluation resulting in radical changes. At first these might be hard to manifest, because she will have to take responsibility for inner conflicts, but in the end, no matter how impatient she is with herself, she will achieve not only in her career but her emotional world. She is capable of making even more spectacular contributions to stage and screen, and we cannot wait to see her in a new series in 2010. You are magic Kim, and you will always entertain us. God bless you!
