Sarah Ferguson (Fergie)

Sarah (Fergie) Ferguson was nearly killed on the 11 September 2001; she was due for an appointment at the World Trade Centre, when one of the planes hit it full on. She was pushed back into the car by her worried aides and driven away at top speed. Some might say this lady was born lucky; true she has always landed on her feet! She once said, “Humility is understanding that the obstacles on your life path are not just going to go away!” Born on the 15th October 1959, daughter of Major Ronald Ferguson, Tudor genes in her veins, descended from William the Conqueror and Charles II, baby Sarah was destined for a prosperous upper class lifestyle.
Jolly, pretty with red curls, easy going ways and an addictive personality, this county girl galloped across the fields of her father’s estate on her beloved horses, with the wind in her hair. Yet there was something a touch too wild about her, she was a joke and a giggle, yes, ceaseless fun, but also some skew whiff gene called “Insecurity” caused her far too many problems. Even if she was a party girl, she also had a closet drug addiction, and drank and ate far too much.
She met Andrew, Duke of York at a house party at Windsor Castle in 1985, and the fates took a hand in her life at breakneck speed from then on! A Libra gal split to her core, bubbly, friendly and gregarious on the one hand, depressive, compulsive, tactless and aggressive on the other, it is evident her parent’s divorce, and her mother’s subsequent escape to Argentina influenced her more than she ever cared to admit. Devastating feelings of rejection surfaced, and when she was nicknamed “the Duchess of Pork”, she started to fall apart. The slurs were too much for her fragile ego. A cruel media criticized her for her weight, her fashion sense, and finding herself in the middle of a hornets’ nest, desperate about life as a young Royal, it was all she could do to stay sane!
Andrew was often away and she could not deal with all of that mind numbing palace protocol. She was young, inexperienced and felt everyone was out to get her. She stated in her autobiography that the Palace “Grey Men” were hell bent on destroying her. The marriage fell apart of course, and with the press at her heels, virtually excommunicated from the Royal Family, Sarah found herself in deep debt due to compulsive spending. Yet that benevolent Leo influence so prevalent in her chart helped a miracle save the day! She pulled back from the brink and after many trials and tribulations, went on to be a representative for Weight Watchers, and a talk show hostess in the States. She is currently an inspiring mother to her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. That noble heart of hers kicked right back in, you see, and enabled her to heal her life.
She knows she will always have to be careful of that wilder nature of hers, she realises it could push her to the brink and that if she does not channel her energies wisely she could even fall apart. She knows addictive compulsive disorders never really, ever go away. She has worked hard to keep things under control though, founding Children in Crisis, The Sarah Ferguson Foundation and becoming a spokesperson for Mental Disability Rights International and more. She never married again and is still close to Prince Andrew, adored by her daughters for her positive attitude to life’s challenges. It has to be said, Mr. Mercury in Scorpio is a true Godsend to Fergie.
Our friend Mercury makes her super sensitive, with a talent for psychic perceptions. He helps her speak her mind, seeing through anyone with her newly inbuilt BS detector. Nowadays she trusts her gut feelings, she works hard, pushes for results, and dots her I’s. Her Venus in Virgo will make her a nice person, sweet and kind, there for those who are unwell, ready to help out a friend! She tries to bring joy to lives. She has let go of a series of romantic mistakes too, including a couple of past rather eccentric affairs with an Italian aristocratic and a toe-licking Yank. She has subsequently moved on from the chaos, she wants to give time and energy to those who suffer.
Anyway, she has learnt to control her bluntness, to be considerate even when she feels exhausted. Mars in Libra makes sure she explains ideas clearly, is careful people do not confuse her or bamboozle her with meaningless words. She still needs to keep tabs on extravagant tendencies, make sure she is not giving flatterers any space or acting out socially with a false sense of aggrandizement. Her north node in Libra will help her win through all odds, stand up to those inner monsters and dragons and any nasty people out to make her life a misery. Over the coming two years her friends and family will show beautiful and true colours, she will feel secure and loved and there is a lovely healing relationship in her life, or about to come into it. Emotional blessings are on their way, and amidst the worldwide chaos she will develop a deeper sense of who she is in the “greater scheme of things”.
Of course, some sacrifices might still have to be made, but she will acquire a sense of the spirituality of life in the process and communicate that feeling to those she loves. Any glitches will be temporary; Sarah should be well ensconced in a loving relationship, enjoying her life full on by the end of this year. She will become aware of all that she has confronted, and pat herself on the back for overcoming virtually insurmountable odds. Sarah is basically a sweetheart, a nice girl, someone who suffered and felt unloved. For that reason she can empathise so easily with others. Her life will continue to be richly lived, she will manage to keep a tab on her “issues”, and she will expand as a soul and as an individual over the next two to three years. God bless you Fergie, you have a lot to look forward to!
