Astrological Superstitions

Are superstitions true, or just a way of dealing with the unpredictability of life? The Ancient Romans were super superstitious and tended to examine animal’s entrails to assess good or bad luck!

Those who walk under ladders, and throw salt over their shoulder when they spill some, could be classed as superstitious, as are those who believe a black cat walking toward them is good luck. The “superstition list” is so endless, that those who believe in them might be better off staying at home. But how do our astro team feel about superstitions, or do they just think they are a bunch of silly old wives tales?

ARIES

A fiery Aries is superstitious as they tend to see life as a heroic marathon, and are certain that bad luck can block their way. In fact, if things go wrong, they are more prone to blame others than themselves. So superstitions Aries fit the superstitious bill. Being a fire sign they could also believe that if their ears itch or “burn”, someone is talking about them! After all, they are the number one of the astro family! Folks chat about them a lot!

TAURUS

Taurus are pretty realistic folk, and prefer to see the “proof in the pudding” rather than blindly believe in superstitious themes. However when it comes to food they will hark the odd superstitious tale. So do not be surprised to see some “bulls” pushing their spoon through the egg shell when they have done eating it, just to let the devil out! This Earth Sign also has an intuitive connection to nature. So they are virtually certain when the leaves on a tree turn up, a storm, is coming!

GEMINI

Airy Gemini’s would be the last to admit they are superstitious. They are into theories, ideas, and pure logic. One thing they might believe in is the significance of dreams, and even attempt to study their meaning. So dreaming of say a clear river flowing past them might encourage the Gemini to believe their way is ahead is a positive one. Of course Gemini is a natural “twin twosome” so seeing two magpies instead of one will definitely bring them luck!

CANCER

Cancers are sensitive, moody yet mainstream folk. They would be hard pressed to admit their interest in superstitions. They might nurture a few but only confide what they are to the best of friends. Cancers are into their homes, they tend to burrow into them, so breaking any mirror on the wall could worry them and convince them that they are due for seven years bad luck, unless they call in the psychic healer to sort it all out of course!

LEO

Fiery Leos are superstitious. Their intense emotions encourage them to believe in the occult. Being of the feline family themselves, they are especially superstitious about cats. So if a black cat ran across the road in front of them, they would say “bread and butter on my table, cut it with a butter knife” to ward off bad luck, and then turn round and walk another way home. Black cats can also be a favourite Leo pet by the way!

VIRGO

Virgos can be fussy but logical. They need to keep things neat. Superstitious beliefs are too chaotic for their taste. But they do sometimes think that if dust and dirt are not swept out the front door after the sun goes down, this could mean bad luck coming their way. So see a Virgo with a duster in their hand polishing up their home like there was no tomorrow. They will deny that they have a superstitious bend to their nature however, logic must rule, and sensible decisions made.

LIBRA

Librans are superstitious in their own way. The aim is to keep everything harmonious; they cannot deal with ugliness. They will not openly believe in the more complex superstitions but they do tend to “knock on wood” when they feel something is not working how it should. They will always go for a couple relationships to feel emotionally fulfilled. So they could be superstitious about weddings, and on their own wedding day wear “something old, something new something borrowed and something blue!” just in case!

SCORPIO

This water sign is naturally superstitious, and could tend to fret about their wellbeing. So do not be surprised to see Scorpios wearing amber beads as a protection of their health as they whisper “an apple a day keeps the doctor away!” They could also go for crystals and pendants to enhance their personal vibrations. They will like Jade that cools down their sometimes vengeful hearts with its pure green love vibes.

SAGITTARIUS

Saggys tend to take life as it comes. Their existence can be a challenge as they tend to go be clumsy and are more than accustomed to the odd mishap. Yet being half man half horse, you can bet a horseshoe will be around the house somewhere. Being natural wildlife lovers they might prefer to see those ravens sticking it out at the Tower of London, if they were to go, England would fall, and nobody wants that!

CAPRICORN

Capricorns are reasonable and rarely take superstitions that seriously. But if those repressed emotions should dare to break thru Capricorn resistance you will see them blowing out all the candles on their birthday cake in one breath, as it could be true that if you do luck will come your way. And the traditional four leafed clover is not to be sneezed at either. So expect to see a Cappy with at least one item of jewellery depicting a four leaf! This earth sign likes the more traditional superstition!

AQUARIUS

Aquarius might will laugh at superstitions and yet find them intriguing. So since they know dropping a fork on the ground means a man is coming to visit, the Aquarian lady looking for a boyfriend will tend to throw a few forks on the ground as she giggles! And as for Friday the 13^th, best to whisper a little prayer as one gets up in the morning, one never knows. Water Carrier logic tends to go for the bizarre!

PISCES

Pisces tend to be metaphysical folk and superstitions are a fact life to them. They will keep up with a few basics, to get luck on their side. So being Pisces the fish, they tend to consume a fish from the head to the tail for good luck! And if they go fishing, they will always fish against the wind, again for good luck! Now that is a fishy story indeed! So let us give the sensitive Pisces the benefit of the doubt, and say, superstitions are just part of the stardust life is made of!
